Hi all

Have been given a date for my BR hearing - 1 October! Now the tears are flowing, the hands shaking and the enormity of what I am doing is really kicking in.

Anyone out there have any experience in dealing with the Norwich Courts? Any help will be appreciated.

Sue

Hi Sue, I'm sorry, I don't know anything about Norwich court, but I just wanted to wish you luck. I'm sure you'll be fine - everyone who has been to court (myself included) has been treated with compassion and dignity.

Thanks Skip - when do the tears stop???!!!!!

On the BR forms, they ask for info regarding seperation etc. I was seperated 3 years ago where I had to buy my ex partner out of the property. Do I have to put this in?

It was strange - I didn't cry until we were on the way to court and that was only because Dave and I were having a row! The first time I actually cried about the BR was when I got a letter telling me I hadn't made my IPA payment when I knew I had. I probably would have been better if I'd cried as I was stressing about it inside - I ended up with a mouthful of ulcers, a face full of spots and the cold sore from hell!

Sorry Sue, I don't know what to say about the seperation as I didn't have to put anything like that on my forms - Dave has been lumbered with me for the last 10 years!

Hi sue, I live in norwich and have a friend who went through the norwich courts for her BR. And all was fine. So try not to worry too much. I havent been made BR myself but seen the state my friend got into over the whole situation....lets just say she didn't have her underwear on by the time she reached the court....literally! But has a right laugh about it now. So I am sure it will be fine.

Why spend life worrying...when you can spend it smiling!!

Another question!!

List of Unsecured Creditors - would I be right in transferring all the details from the IVA claim listed in the Chairmans Report?

it will be OK! I promise, you will be nervous and all that stuff but in the end of the day you are doing what you think is the best route forward and thousands of people are doing the same thing. You have made your decison and it will not be easy but you are doing the right thing - I had my BR last week and its not as bad you think it will be. Hang in there x

Again - thank you! I guess its time to start trawling the internet for adresses of creditors - also have no idea when I originally took them. Dates are elusive at present!! Will this make a difference? I too, took to that wonderful shredder!!

Hi Sadsack

If you have any difficulty in finding the addresses my office would be able to help with that. We are generally writing to them every day, but of course we will be unable to help with account numbers. But surely your IP can also provide this information!

Melanie, thank you! Your kindness has reduced me to tears again! I just so wish I did not have to do this but really have no option.

I will take you up on your kind offer and will call your office later this afternoon.

I ordered a copy of my credit file and I found this really useful when I was filling in the bit about the dates of agreements.

I just wanted to say hang in there sue, all will be well in the end I am sure, everyone seems to be treated with great respect by the courts. When I feel as you I do literally take a deep breath look at all the good things in my life and realise that there are others so much more worse off, it helps me to put things in perspective. We are all supporting you and knowe there will be better times ahead.
