Good luck with everything Sue...we went BR on 4th Sept and it wasn't half as bad as we thought everyone was really nice at court and nobody looked down their nose at us as I had thought!!!

sue you will be fine, it is a horrible feeling and the day of BR is not as bad as you think, you will be treated with dignity, i found the OR meeting the worst, well the waiting for that not knowing what was going to happen but again i was treated with dignity, you will feel so much better once that BR is stamped and you know the creditors can't touch you, tho some will try, i really feel for you at the mo as i know how i felt with the run up, admittedly we rang up one day and was given the appt the next day so didn't have to worry as much about the wait, when i listed my creditors, i just listed the dates i took the cards or loans from not the last time i used them and this was fine, your account numbers should be on your iva proposal? a lot of my figures where estimates taken from my proposal the OR will get the exact figures off them when they do their reports, hang in there sue, we are all with you.

Hi Sue, just wanted to add my best wishes. I went BR on 29 August and it was the "not knowing what was going to happen" that was the worst! It's all relatively painless, you won't be interrogated and if you're court is anything like Cardiff, the staff there will be kind and considerate (and thank god they had toilets there!!!) . As for dates - Skippy gave me good advice in getting a copy of my credit report (I cant remember what i did yesterday, let alone when I took all my cards and loans out!) The only downside I've experienced with the whole bankruptcy process is the waiting!! I still haven't received anything from my OR regarding my car or house (even though my interview was a week ago) and am still waiting for the solicitors to contact me regarding an IPA. But you'll be fine and I'm sure you'll feel a whole lot better afterwards, knowing you can get your life back on track.
