Hi All:

Here is what I put on my I & E part of my Bankruptcy forms, 2 adults, 2 large hungry dogs (!). Any comments gratefully received:

Income between partners: 3670
rent: 1500
housekeeping: 400
gas, elec & heating: 275
water: 60
Telephone: 60
Travelling: 100
Clothing: 60
Council Tax: 212
Life insurance: 83
Mobile: 50
tv licence: 12
Sky tv: 30
Car servicing: 50
car insurance: 42
car tax: 33
Medical: 30
partners credit: 420
pet insurance: 40
dog food: 72
Contingency: 70

The Gas, Elec & heating is high, I know. But it is real. The house is old and just leaks heat.

hi andy, the or probably will not allow the following, just so you are prepared, the pet food them maximum allowance they allow is £20, the sky they may not allow or ask that you go on a basic package , if it is linked with internet and phone tell them, they may or may not allow the mobile, depending if it is essential on job or ask that you go on pay as you go,pet insurance and contingency may also be disallowed, don't want to alarm you but just so you are prepared, of course you can only try.

Hi Andy

I am in a similar position - filling in these forms!! I too put down for pet insurance, £38 as the yearly renewal has come up and the premiums have also gone up. When I put that out on the forum, some posters thought that it was a bit high. I am single, but have a german shepherd, two cats, 17 Koi Carp and 10 Fans in a tank inside - put down £350 for food and housekeeping which included food for the animals - and again some thought it a bit high. But if you don't try, you don't get!!!

Some are of the opinion that you can get a "holiday allowance" (guess it is at the discretion of the OR), you have not put anything down for that. Also haircuts, you are allowed that. Do you have any charges on your bank account? I am with Think Banking, they charge £12.50 per month and Andy Davie told me to make sure I included this in my I & E. I don't have gas, but £190 is for oil and electricity!!!!

I am sure someone will be along to help out further!

Good Luck

Sue

the best thing to do is put down what you spend each month and then they can only say no, you may be pleasantly surprised as i was, my holiday fund and clothing allowance was upped a lot, sue,my or wouldn't allow the think banking charge as he said there was plenty of banks out there offering a basic account free of charge but its worth a go, the or's differ as we already know.
good luck to you both.

Andy

I have had German Shepherds all my life - bred them back home.

Am dreading the inevitable day - she is 9 years old now, bad left hip and have already had lumps removed.
