Thanks Lily - I really could do with some good luck!!! This has been a horrible journey but one that I have really learnt from. The biggest lesson this has taught me is that no matter how insurmountable the problem, there always seems to be a solution. It may be a difficult one to reach, but at the end of the day, burying ones head is not the answer. This forum has proved to me that my problems are no greater or smaller than anyone else's and no matter what I have done, no-one on this forum has judged me - only given unwavering support.

I trust that you have put your solicitor right about the quality of advice received from this forum - he does seem to have rather a prejudiced view, and if he has some spare time to give up then maybe it is a good idea for him to join, as there is always room for an experienced legal eagle!

It,s quite frightening that there are companies out there that will prey on the vulnerable.What sort of advice is that "don,t pay yout mortgage for five months".These people are obviously unregulated and should be kicked into touch.
