I have a bread maker and I have started making chocolate bread and fruit bread for the wee one!
It is really good - I can see the pro's and the cons and I feel if I didn't already have one I probably wouldn't get one - does that make sense lol?

I agree with Mike (Hi Mike, hope you are well[:)])
It is easier to make bread yourself than you think. It helps that I have a food processor with a dough tool so can make the dough in about a couple of mins, then leave to rise in a warm place and bake!!

Pizza bases are amazing if you make the dough and then put the topping on and on the exposed crust round the pizza sprinkle a light dusting of Polenta and you will get a fab crispy crust.
Also to make the sauce for the pizza is so easy and is so much better than the stuff you buy in jars. For the pizza it helps to cook it on a stone (which you can also use for the bread) and you can get these relatively cheaply at cookshops.

Yum,Yum I am hungry now[:I]

Sorry forgot your original question about breadmakers!!!

I wrk in the small domestic appliance business specialising in kitchen electricals and do find that bread maker are really popular but you must keep it on your work surface and use regularly.

As with all gadgets if they are put away in cupboards they never seem to come out again.

You can get some really good buys about these days as prices have dropped dramatically. And if you factor in that bread prices are rising all the time, it could be a wise purchase.

If you can afford it treat yourself and have fun[:)]
