I have to admmit to not being loyal and shop around for everything and always go with the best price.

Sometimes to be fair I find it a pain if I'm honest but a few £'s to me is better than to them. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I'm the same as Jan but with the RAC. They have always been brilliant with me when I've had to call them out and I wouldn't want to change.

Im also with the AA and pay a little extra for their breakdown repair cover....covers breakdown repair up to £500.

Just a few months ago the jalopy brokedown (Fuel Pump @ £499.00).

I got it fitted at a Ford Garage, paid £25 excess and had car back on road within 48 hrs from calling out the AA. The garage I dealt with mentioned that they are seeing a lot of "warranty" repairs lately and AA are the best to deal with from their perspective.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!

I think it is a real minefield trying to find breakdown cover - there are so many small companies popping up, removing massive levels of cover and selling a basically useless product. And it is no different with european breakdown cover - does anyone have any recommendations with this ? i am about to buy with **link removed** but there are so many and I really don't want to get stung, any advice? isn't this industry regulated?

were with the RAC for both vehicles and pay £9.75 on a rolling monthly deal. This gives us breakdown, towing and transport costs.

I use Start Rescue (Edit: Link Removed) their £35 a year does recovery and home start, and they don't put the price up for renewals. I've had them out once and were fine (they used a local firm who also do green flag and other recovery's)
