No Sarah not at all, we just sit and have a drink and a chat, very informal. Its a way of putting faces to names more social. Lets us discuss things in a relaxed setting. It would be lovley if you could come , Debbie and I are quite happy to meet you somwhere if you dont want to walk in on your own.

I'd love to come along and meet everyone, I'm just trying to work out if it's feasable! I'd have to stop over as it's too far to travel back same night. Does anyone know anywhere that's cheap and nearby?

Pixie ... I'm like you, I would have to travel back to Portsmouth, so I booked a room online last night at the Britania Hotel itself

http://www.britanniahotel-birmingham.co ... MAodbWomqg

It cost me £47 which I thought I would treat myself to ... and I got a free bottle of wine with the booking. I think the rooms might be filling up though ...

Where would you be travelling from? ... maybe we could get some more lift share ideas everyone. It really is nice to get together and have a very informal chat ... with the wine on Andy [:)]

Dave and I are staying at the hotel as well. We booked it online yesterday as we were worried we wouldn't get a room!

Just had a look at the rooms, the cheapest single is £53! I don't think I can justify spending so much! If there's anyone else on there own I don't mind sharing a twin.
I'd be coming from Blackburn by train. I don't fancy trying to drive round birmingham!

Pixie ... there's a twin room left for £49 hope this link works, if not.

https://www.hol.co.uk/asp/bookings/avai ... rrivalDay=
29&ArrivalMonth=03&ArrivalYear=2008&Nights=
1&Adults=2&ArrivalDate=29%2F03%2F2008&DoSearch=true&Force=true&Rooms=1&domain
=britanniahotels-quickbook&x=128&y=5

Do you have a friend or partner who could come with you to share the cost ... all are welcome ... it may even be that if you reserve the twin you could auction the spare bed off to one of the Forum members nearer the time as it looks as if availibility is getting low!
