Thanks Debbie, I didn't get that page the first time I looked.
Ok, I've done it!! I've got a room! I'll be on my own, so if anyone does want a bed nearer the time....
In the small print it says that they want a credit card on arrival, could be interesting! Now to book a train..

Yeah ... Pixie ... good on you! Andy, it looks like Frugal Friends are taking over the Britannia Hotel!

Most hotels require a 'credit card' now just in case you run off having drunk the mini-bar dry! Do you have a Cashplus card Pixie? I wouldn't be without mine for just such occasions http://www.cashplus.co.uk/

Nearer the time, ask Andy for my email and I'll give you my mobile phone number so that we can 'find' each other.

Wow its going to be a great meeting and I am looking forward to it already....will probably be a quivering wreck on the day[:I]

It will be so great to put faces to names.
I hope its not like and AA meeting (not that I have ever been!thnkfully) where you stand up and say 'My names Emma and I am in an iva'

Only joking - I know its just a friendly get together and I will look at staying over if I can.

I think I have stayed at that hotel before quite a few years ago when I had a night out with friends in Birmingham - all a bit of a blur but I remember the hotel was alright (what little time I spent in it!![;)])

Look forward to meeting evryone

I'm now booked in too and will be bringing the hubbie, so he can see why he is allowed to watch so much Star Trek when I am on the computer all night!

Andy, when you are clearer about numbers will you allow my practice to sponsor the food side of the evening with a hot and cold buffet.

It is so good to see so much enthusiasm from the forum members and that people are prepared to give up their time and money to support these valuable events. I am really looking forward to the evening.

I am so pleased you are coming Melanie I was so dissapointed that you couldnt make the last meeting in Birmingham. I am feeling quite jealous now I have no excuse to stay at the hotel,I live too near. What a lovely gesture to provide food as well. It will be a great evening.

Can't wait to meet all of you as I feel that you are all my friends and it is a pleasure to give something back to all of you who have been so supportive to me over the last year or so.

I have just booked in to stay over...so no pulling out now[:)]

I live about an hour and a half south of Birmingham (probably should be longer[;)]) so thought I would treat myself to a night in Birmingham and I will have a good look around during the day as I do like Birmingham. And then if I fancy a drink I can have one..

Lovely thought Melanie, perhaps with loads of us staying the hotel will give a great deal

I'm really looking forward to it now, I'll be the quiet one in the corner on the night!!
I've found a train that will arrive at dinnertime so I can do lots of window shopping too! I've never been to Birmingham before.
I've got a debit card which hopefully they'll accept, even when I had credit cards I never carried them around.
Melanie that's a lovely idea - only isn't it you who supports us not the other way round :-)

You will all be fine. Remember how i was a couple of weeks ago. The nerves go after a few minute because the experts there keep it all really relaxed.

Hi ladyH ... I think that Andy is working his way around the country ... it's a bit like the "Andy Frugal Friends" roadshow ... so I am sure it will be coming your way soon [:)]

Saturday night seems to be quite popular Andy [:)]
