Whatever you do don't switch to N Power - they are the most inefficient company out there and I'd rather freeze in darkness than use them!

As far as I am aware it is only your mortgage company and any other secured creditor on your property who are informed. I think anyone else finds out from the Insolvency Register.

I've been more than happy with Atlantic.

Same here.

Just for clarification though, do the payments go up? My accounts are up to date and I have never missed a payment.

I don't know, I just know they tend to put you on a different tariff.

If you are with them but not yet in an IVA, now might be a time to change.

They closed our account and opened a new one with exactly the same tariff. Seems nuts to me, must have cost them just in admin fees.

in august my accounts were closed then re-opened with british gas-the good thing was they write off any outstanding debt you have with them-so i was 95.00 better off-i queried the change in my tariff and they apologised and put me straight back on my old tariff saying it was a clerical error[:)]cheers for that
full and final accepted January 2015

iva agreed; August 2010
iva would have completed; August 2017

They do appear to have a strange way of dealing with things but you gained £95.00 so a result for you. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I don't know what it is with them. They're the only utility company I know that does that.
