Wasn't sure where to put this so tried here!

I need to set up a new phone line/broadband/tv package for when we get home and have been on moneysupermarket to try and find best deals. Trouble is, the reviews on most of them are bloomin awful, so I'm not sure which to go with.

I had a quote from BT which is their Talk Surf and Watch unlimited package which will be unlimited land line calls, voicemail, 0845 and 0870 numbers, broadband 20mb speed, free home hub and hub phone (whatever that means[:I]) and then a tv package which isn't basic but isn't the full package either. The cost would be £60 a month which includes the line rental - is this a good deal? What kind of deals do people on here have and who've you found to be a good service provider?

Having been over here for a couple of years we've got into the habit of there only being one provider - expensive but far less confusing for little old me.[:I]

FYI at the moment we have Sky HD in the lounge and Sky Plus in a bedroom. I know we're going to have to change this when we get back (much to husband's annoyance), so would like some idea now really.

Many thanks.
Rache.

Hi Rache, we have Sky+, Sky Talk and Sky Broadband never had a problem and it's £40 per month, the Sky deal for the programmes is only the basic one but it suits us.

Thanks Lesley. Sounds good. The actual basic phone line rental still has to be through BT doesn't it? Then you can add the other services on to that?

I only pay Sky, the phone line rental including all calls to landlines after 6pm and weekends is £11.00, we never make any other calls so it stays at £11.00 for us and the broadband is £5.00 per month I think and £24.00 is for the Sky+ as we have Lifestyle & Culture channel as an added extra for me! That is probably a wrong breakdown but will go online and check but it's something along those lines x

I was slightly wrong in my breakdown, £19.00 for Sky+ basic package plus one extra, Broadband is £15.00 but you only pay £10.00 as £5.00 discount for having it alongside Sky Talk which is £11.00.

I do agree life is so expensive x

I claim basic Sky at £21 per month, and my phone is £41 per month which includes broadband and unlimited calls at any time of the day from BT. As hubby is retired, we do need this as he uses the phone a fair amount during the day.

We've got our phone with Sky and we pay for line rental and £5 a month for unlimited calls any time. We've also got Sky HD and broadband.

we're with virgin media prices have risen lately so might try sky again if they will have us but the extra channels have been a godsend during the last 5 yrs otherwise without films and the cheapest bottle of plonk saturday night would of been unbearable

We have broadband and phone through BT, and they haven't been too bad recently. TV is Sky, and has been for over 20 years now.

Might change the broadband, but will always stay with Sky for TV.
