I'm seriously considering swapping my phone and broadband to them soon as BT have caused me horrendous problems just lately.

Not had a single problem, last year I upgraded to the Sky + HD box free, I wasnt keen on paying for the HD pack so they gave me 12 months of free line rental, this works out at 10.50 per month, I just pay for HD pack at £10 then at the end of the 12 months I can cancel the HD pack and continue paying line rental. A lot of messing about but the main benefit was I got a Sky+ box for free.
We have just upgraded to an HD box and because daughter had the free one, they wanted to charge us £200. We played our face at that and managed to get one free with just a £15 installation charge and the £10 a month subscription.

Wouldn't mind but I've been with them since they started - you'd think they'd reward loyalty wouldn't you?

We've got Sky HD and I can't believe how much better the picture quality is.
My mum's only got a standard Sky box, (not even Sky+) and I'm trying to convince her to upgrade. She doesn't really want the HD, but you can currently get an HD box without the HD package for £109 and I think she might go for that as it means she won't have the extra monthly payments but can upgrade if she wants to later on.
I know with some deals you get a refurb box with just 6 months warranty so might be worth checking, if you can get a new box with 12 month warranty for free, then £10 per month might be better for the extra warranty... I guess over the year it will cost you £11 for an additional 6 months warranty, does this make sense?
When it's filmed in HD it's great, but I do get annoyed when I go onto an HD channel and the programme was filmed normally. What's the point in puttin them on an HD channel?
Don't think I'll be investing in 3D TV though - apart from the cost I wouldn't want to be sitting there all night wearing a stupid pair of glasses!

I can see what you're saying Daniel, but trying to convince my mum is another thing! She doesn't want anything else coming out of her bank account each month so I don't think she'll do it.
I agree about the 3D TV Jan - I'd feel a complete idiot!
Oh and as for mums I know the feeling, my mum is still trying to decide on moving from BT for her phone, not sure how many times I have discussed it with them when visiting!! [:)]
It took me years to persuade my parents to pay bills by DD so I have no chance of persuading them to do anything else.
They totally refuse to shop around for a better deal for gas and electricity, even though I've offered to sort it for them.

I always wonder who pays the most expensive prices when you do comparisons for insurance, gas, electric etc but there must be so many people paying over the odds!
