"lessthanperfect" is a remarkably modest name for a bank! Were they previously known as "prettyhopeless" and before that "extremelylousy" but aspiring to become "notbadatall"?
I don't know if a separate account is a legal requirement for a sole trader but not doing so will become very messy to unravel the business transactions from the private ones for your accountant, the VAT Man and the Tax Man.
