I think it's credit files ginger as he says that he has no account history with them.

Just read an old post - it mention being in an iva for 3 years (dated sept 2010) - so six in total up in 2013.
So unfotunately - at the moment unless they change the legal working, it remains the same for everyone.

It maybe at the moment you will need to do as Mel previously suggested - use the personal account.

As far as i am aware - there is no legal right to expect a bank to offer you an account - personal or otherwise

ahh a thought has popped into the vast void that is my head, what we need here is some sort of managed/umbrella service for start ups. There must be something out there?

Sponge -- you can join an umbrella company who will then pay you your takings via PAYE. Not the best situation, but they are out there.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Most of my engineers are CIS through one, but that's not really what I was thinking. I've got the shape of a flippin not bad idea. Then again I've had a few of those like my, one spot jeans (year 1) two spot jeans (year 2) and here's the killer, no spot jeans (year 3) just some crap old imports from a sweat shop in Tanganiki!
