I have recently started doing this and am saving loads! This morning I bought ten bananas and ten peaches for £1.50! I've always bought my fruit from the supermarket but it's so expensive. The bit I save by doing this I'm putting in a pot to go towards Christmas presents.

Sadly I can't do this - our flat is so hot even with the windows open (I'm thinking of renting it out as a sauna!) that any fruit goes off within a couple of days! We are hoping when we move the new place will be cooler and we're going to walk into town each weekend to by fruit and veg - won't have to pay for petrol and parking then either!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
