Karol's e-mail address is on her experts page, and I know Karol very well and I know she will help if she can. If she can't she will find someone who will relook at your case for you and weigh up the advantages of your suggestion against the percieved risks.

Let us know how you get on - and ask as much as you like on the forum as we all do want to help where we can.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Hi again

Can anybody please tell me how good are Moneybarn at lending to people in an IVA? Just so I know if I get approval from my IVA company to go ahead with my suggestion.

Thanks

Moneybarn or Carloans4U will lend to people in an IVA. The APR is high though.

They have some very good products available for people in IVAs - and it would be sensible to have a chat with them. If you cannot deal with them directly, try www.moneysavesolutions.com.

Thank you for your help. I have to send some more information to Grant Thornton and they will make a decision from there.

Hopefully we will get some good news because I am not hopeful about the cars getting through their service and MOT without huge expenses.

I have now sent the information off so please keep your fingers crossed that the IVA company think it is a sensible suggestion for us to do.

It will be a great shame if they do not - but it is your right to have a variation if you want one and they have to put this foward for you whether they agree with the strategy or not - at the end of the day it is your creditors' decision.

Hi

I was hoping to hear back from Grant Thornton today but have heard nothing. Could somebody please let me know how long the things normally take for them to make a decision. We don't have long as the service and mot is almost due.

Patience is a virtue!!!

Hi

I want to say a huge thank you to Karol and her team for their quick response to my query, Also, for them giving me the opportunity to try and obtain a new car. It will be such a relief to me if we are able to get a more reliable car and I am so grateful to Grant Thornton.

Thank you again.
