Well well well It looks like Mercers who chase for Barclaycard have finally given up on me. I just had a call from a company called Calders Financial, who just gave me all the spiel of court action, doorstep collections, charge orders etc if I did not make a payment to them. I told her to look at my records and she would see that she had no chance. I then asked her to send 3 debt collectors to my house since she would shortly be forwarded 2 more Barclaycard accounts and we could have a tea party. Anyway to cut a long story short they wont call again for 7 days.My proposal is being drafted this week so hopefully this wont go on much longer.
they just care stirling thats all
mercers are so concerned for my welfare theyve called every day this week (including sunday-7.30 am-im on annual leave) to check that im ok x [:D]
pretty sure Mercers is just Barclaycard inhouse collection ageny - in that they are based in same building - so really just Barclaycard in another guise
Yes, Mercers is Barclaycards in house debt collectors.

Hi stirling,..hopefully,it won't be long now before you get your creditors meeting,[:)]...we had a littlewoods debt and a barclaycard debt and had letters from mercers to start and then calders (same address on the letterheads)..both were as bad as one another though but wanted to say well done to you on not letting them get to you when they said they would get a debt collector to call...they threatened us with that a few times too but nobody came round...good luck and let us all know when you get your creditors meeting...take care..xx[:)]
IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..
their name is pretty apt really.
-mercers.
apparently a mercernary is somebody who serves merely for wages which is exactly their ethic 'we dont care about you-just give us the moneyeeee
