Hi Shazzles. Yes I did, and I think its a good idea. The more organised you are with your budget, when your IVA is approved, then the more chance your IVA will be sucessful. Plan away!

Good Luck, I will be thinking of you. Let us know how you go on. My IVA was approved at 30p/£ and my husbands at 40p/£ but didnt have any of your creditors. Are you expecting a modification to increase you monthly payment ?? if so be sure you can afford it before you say yes!!

Yes I had an increase of 60.00 per month. But I already had messed around with my cashflow and thought about what increased I could afford, so I was ready !!
Good Luck
Just keep yourself busy our meeting was at 12.45pm and Clearstart rung us at 12.48pm with the news. Who are you with.

Brilliant, sounds like you are already and prepared. I am really enjoying budgeting and buying things with real cash !! it really does make you think about weather or not you actually need it, and more often you dont !!!!! When I do my weekly shop at asda I have cut down on quite a few things now, and although I have only been doing it for approx 8 weeks I am now getting god at staying with my £400.00 per month food budget

Hi Shazzles, you sound organised and have planned for an increase, something I hadn't done! I think it's normal to have the what if's prior to your meeting. My second week of budgeting and so far so good! Not going to tell you it's easy but like Caraf I'm seeing it as a challenge and one that I can continue to do to the best of my ability.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Not long now shazzles. You stay positive and plan away to your hearts content. I am sure you will be fine tomorrow, and you will be ready and prepared. Just keep busy, I think i washed and cleaned everything twice but it passed the time.

All the best

Ang

Shazzles, try and keep busy, I'm sure the time will flow. The day before my meeting day, I had mentioned to my daughter that I was having the day off work (she doesn't know about IVA), she asked can you take granddaughter to nursery! eeek has to be there at 12.45. Couldn't say no, contacted IP explained, all ok. That morning I could do nothing, I had so much planned but at 12 noon I still wasn't dressed (meeting at 12noon and 12.05), IP's office rang at 12.14 to advise both approved with modifications and then I had a very quick scramble to get granddaughter to nursery on time! Try and be like Ang as I'm sure it's much better for you!

You'll be fine. The votes are probably in already, as I doubt any creditors really turn up to these meetings in person anyway.

Still remember taking that day off work though, and ringing the IP 30 minutes after the meeting for "any news".
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.
