She'll have to get there quickly as they are all in the process of shutting and being converted into Asda supermarkets. Don't know when the Blackpool one is scheduled for though.

In Asda last Saturday, they had a 3 person tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mats and a lantern for £30. Probably only a single skin tent but I thought it was worth it for the sleeping bags etc alone.

Thank you all so much for responses!! There are loads of nettos up here so will get down and have a look tomorrow... I have seen the cheap deals with everything included but as my boyf is so tall we really need to have a tent that is high enough for him to stand up in (even if it is only one end!) He really suffers with his back so crouching is a no no for him!

Nearly had a heart attack last night! I was bidding on a load of tents and with an hour to go on 8 of them I was winning all of them! I was beginning to think I would end up with all these tents and no way of paying for them! lol... Luckily i didnt win them! Shame as 1 of them was perfect!

I was thinking of taking the duvets instead as we can then cozy up at night rather than being restricted to a sleeping bag! I have 2 super king size duvets and a king size one so should be enough!

I am going to route through my friends stuff tonight but she will only lend me the items which I really dont like doing. I would rather buy as if anything happens to it I could replace as and when rather than straight away!

Have tried Pre loved and thought I was onto 1 but they had just sold it! Damn it!

I never bid on anything until there's about 15 mins to go. Otherwise you end up paying more than you wanted (unless you're really strict). The other tip is to try to find items that end between 2 and 5 pm. Less people on then and you are more likely to get a last minute bid through.

Halfords do a *walk in base tent* type the phrase in on their web-site,its reduced to 49.99 and has really good head height.
We bought one for camping in and its brilliant, very strong and I can put it up on my own!!!
Blackpool store has them in stock.[8D]

With regards to bidding on Ebay, I sometimes use goofbay where I can 'snipe' things very late on in the bidding - I have won loads of things doing that.

Also, with Netto, you do need to check out the individual stores - they are changing to Asda supermarkets soon so will closing within a few weeks for the changeover.

You might find that you get some bargains beforehand though!

We have a guy who sells ex army stuff and son got all of his camping stuff from him really cheap. Have a look in the yellow pages for such a guy in your area.

Just need tent, torches, cooking equipment, pans etc.... chairs, possibly a blow up bed but the boyf would prob be better on the floor with his back!
