I think I agree Mel!!!! One of our neighbours once bought a surprise present for his partner at the time - a washing machine!!! I had to take delivery of it as he was out at work.

Jan let me know in no uncertain terms that I was never to give her a surprise present like that!!!!

My husband came back from a trip to Amsterdam yesterday with the lads, and I was expecting a little sparkler in a velvet covered box, or perhaps some nice chocolates or even my favourite perfume. But what did he have in the bag - a baby Edam!!!

What a cheesy present Mel lol [;)] but could've been worse from Amsterdam!

I must say my hubby's very thoughtful with gifts...no hoovers or washing machines...yet!

Do men really buy their other halves, washing machine as presents? - thats really romantic (not) - watching your other halfs dirty "smalls" in a wash cycle.

It would be the last thing my husband bought in his life, if it was a gift for me... I can guarantee that.

Ah yes...those long forgotten days when my smalls were mere dental floss rather than Bridget Jones style pants [:D]
