Up to 15 years, and to be honest it would serve him right.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

people like ur 'friend' give this whole process a bad name . He's the stereotype bankrupt which gets everyone tarred with the same brush. People don't realise the mojority of cases have a real story of how people have struggled to pay back credit and do the right thing. When idiots get on this site and hurl abuse at people , thats the sort of person its intended for, which ironically isn't the type of person who would use this site as they dont want help or advice they just want to abuse the system... rant over feel better now[:)]

I have actually dealt with a debtor many years ago now, who had just shy of 100 credit cards. I recall he had stuck them all on to sheets of A4 paper, 10 to a sheet, (it's a tight fit)and sent them in. He was a psychiatrist!

I have absolutely no sympathy for those who go out of their way, knowingly racking up debt. Your very 'good friend' needs to get help.
My own personal opinion, if he seriously wants help refer him to this site and let him take ask for it himself, so the tale comes straight from the horses mouth and cannot be misinterpreted.

If he sits down for an hour or so and gets all his facts together, he can post his own request for help in one easy go. There's nothing worse than trying to second guess what someone wishes to do without them asking themselves. Think about it, you could quite easily misinterpret what he says and put on here what you think he was saying. It's far easier to ask him to do something himself rather than you trying to guess what to tell him and coming back with further questions or statements which again could be open to misinterpretation.

My advice to HIM is for HIM to deal with it himself and ask us. We're not going to bite his head off, we're not that kind of people. For me it is becoming increasingly difficult to try and stay on top of what is going on in these threads at the moment and it would be easier if requests for help came directly from the source and not second hand. That way we can here first hand and he can take advice on board directly. I apologise if that sounds rude, it is not intended that way, I can be quite straight and to the point sometimes.

Tell it like it is.
Tell it like it is.
