Sorry to hear about your problem Keith. First of all:

1. Are you currently in an IVA?
2. Have you been given an explanation as to why your application was refused?

Hi and welcome.

If you are in an IVA then there are very few companies who will consider you.

What is a utr number?

Hi. What trade are you in ? Is there an association or some such that do a group plan for members?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

do you know any companies i tried all the market leaders and there all circus clowns
a utr number is a self employed tax number that you can give to someone your contracting for and they pay your 20%tax and you pay your own national insurance

Hi. Have you tried a broker? Alternatively, your trade union or professional association might be able to help x

Are there any trade bodies which offer PL insurance as part of the membership?

Totally different field, but I used to belong to one that had an umbrella policy for all paid up members, no-one ever asked about solvency. all they were interested in was that you had the qualifications / experience to join the trade association (and therefore weren't too great a liability!).

I have not known of many who have been able to get insurance.

Thanks Keith for that - I'd no idea what it was.

SIS will cover you:

Most insurance brokers will be able to find someone who will cover you - expect to pay an increased premium though.

Hello Keith,

There are a number of options that we could go through to get you some cover. If you get in touch via *link deleted* we will be happy to put together a quote for you.

Kind Regards

Tim

Just in case y0u were wondering - normal posters can post links to companies that may be helpful in an IVA but companies are not allowed to tout for business on here.
