Yes we don't now either. I spent years feeling guilty about it, I still do but it is not so bad now.
Hopefully it will be better once the IVA is over. Nearly half way there now but like you I expect I will have to do another year.

Same here - we'll be doing the extra year as well I imagine.

You are about a year ahead of me Jan so I will be able to follow how you get on. Can't imagine we can re-mortgage, we are getting to old let alone anything else!

We are way to old to remortgage, even if we could!! Hubby officially becomes an old git at the end of the year!!

hope you're ok country girl. things are much better between me & my husband now. it's the lies that hurt the most, the secrets, but i can see how the deeper he got the harder it was to speak up. things were very bad between us,we did nothing but argue&at times i didn't think we'd make it but we have! the IVA isn't a easy path but it is so,so much better than where we were. i'm still grateful to have cold hard cash for food& fuel each week - in my hand! i haven't had that for years!
the period during setting the IVA up was dreadful,we were both so scared. this board gave me so much support,i'll always be grateful for that.
it can be harder to forgive ourselves for a mistake than to forgive a husband/wife. you'll get there, hug x
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!
