Interesting point raised by Lulu regarding her company been less professional then others. An IVA is a serious, formal procedure which requires a level of thorough examination and continual review to ensure both client and creditor alike receive the fairest solution based on the clients individual circumstances. Entering into an IVA requires alot of commitment and a desire to resolve debts by adhering to an agreed plan which will change over the course of the IVA duration but equally one that is not forced on someone but agreed with to ensure they are comfortable with the repayments.

Thanks

Very important to make sure at the start of your IVA process that you have chosen a company that you feel at ease with. I got my initial advice on debt solutions from CCCS (brilliant - many thanks to them) and then decided to go with Debt-Free Direct for my IVA proposal. It may sound silly but I was actually initially attracted by their TV ads with the birds (am sure many people will remember them from years ago). In any event - I have nothing but praise for DFD - nearly 4 years down the line I have absolutely no complaints.

I know there are many good companies out there - it is all down to which you feel is best for you.
47 months completed - 13 months to go.

I think a lot of us would have chosen different companies than the ones we went with, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Having said that, I've been quite happy with Payplan so far.

You're on your way now, your proposal will be drafted now so shouldn't be long before it arrives for your perusal.

I h changing direct debits and sorting paperwork out all day for shredding (and cutting cards up!) feels sort of therapeutic!

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Same here - I found the forum pre-IVA and selected the IVA Advice Bureau - Melanie.

My IVA is in the very early stages. I have not yet sent through all the required info. But finally received the last document I have been waiting for today. Which I will photocopy tomorrow and forward to my Case Administrator.

Looking forward to having everything in place for the New Year - fingers crossed.
