I am not happy to name my IP company whilst I am still in an IVA in case it affects me. When I say they are less professional what I mean is they do not want evidence of every last thing. For example my friend had to send DFD petrol reciepts yet my company accept the amount I tell them I spend on fuel. I get a better allowance than my friend did for things like clothes.
They just generally seem more relaxed than DFD. Sometimes they are rubbish like when they increased my payment by £300 when I had a £50 pay rise but they did eventually sort it.
What I want from an IVA is someone who writes to me once per year for the annual review doesn't ask loads of questions and isn't after every last penny you have got. I know that eveyone says that they want to pay back as much as possible but lets be honest no one wants to really struggle and suffer for 5 years. There has to be a balance. Watching what my friend went through with DFD I would not reccomend them.

We're with Grant Thornton - the CAB referred us to them and I have found absolutely no problem so far, they let us have a payment break when we were experiencing car trouble and that was only a few months in.
We haven't heard from them since, they collect their dd every month but I expect to hear from them soon about our annual review. (Which I am getting nervous about)
