I have an IVA and im within my last two years of paying this off completely and last year i was made redundant and couldnt pay any longer. i was out of work for over 6 months and luckily i now have a job and ive started to get myself right. Unfortunately the amount has risen on my IVA and ive had to move out of my parents house as they are moving into somewhere smaller and now i have the added expense of higher rent costs. I dont think i can afford to pay the amount of my IVA that they are asking me and they are unable to reduce it for me. Someone told me that if i change who i have my IVA with maybe they could reduce this for me? I want to try and avoid bankruptcy if i can.. but not sure what my options are.

The IVA company i use are hopeless!!

Can anyone give me any advice please?

Hi fearless and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, it is nigh on impossible to change your IP.

Who is your company?

Have you tried to get them to consider whether you could vary the terms of your IVA to accomodate reduced but affordable payments?
