A creditor has sold on my debt to a debt collector. Is there any way I can find out how much my debt was sold for? Is the creditor, or the debt collector, legally obliged to tell me if I ask?

Short answer ... 'No'

I also can see no benefit being gained from knowing what this figure is. At the end of the day the creditor has chosen to sell the debt on as they probably get a quick fix from being paid an amount, however smaller it is than the amount of the actual debt.

I don't think knowing, how much it was sold for, will in any way make you feel any better as you still owe the full amount

Tell it like it is.
Tell it like it is.
