My hubby rang aperture today to speak to or make an appointment with his IP or for her to ring him and they said you can't speak to your IP it would be your case worker you would speak to but you haven't got one because she's left so you will have to speak to me the call handler and it was quite important so he had no choice all she's done is give him a list of to do things ,I always thought you could speak to your IP does anyone know ???

You can insist on speaking to them . Send an email.

That depends on which firm you are with, unfortunately in some of the bigger firms the IPs won't speak to debtors.

You should insist on it.

You should be able to speak with the supervisor, however some firms feel that their IPs are 'too important' to speak to the mere clients who they are supposed to be representing --- personally this would be one of my opening questions and if the answer was that of Aperture's I would not engage them in the first place !

Hi Foggy the girl said you can't speak to your IP he asked 3 times and she no she said you would normally speak to your caseworker but she's left the company so at the moment you don't have one so he had to tell all to the call handler he's had to ring back another few times to verify things makes you wonder what they get paid for sometimes .

They need to get their act together! It’s not fair to treat you like this.

Send an email, direct to the IP ( I know ! You can get the details from the insolvency register, if you are still on it ) asking what the delay is. There would have been 6 months admin period 'built in' to the arrangement, which is extendable if they give you prior notice ( which I presume thay have not done). If no joy complain to their regulatory body, via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner

The complaint can cover the lack of contact, refusal of the IP to speak to clients, extending the 6 month admin period without due notice and total lack of communication and replies to queries from you generally.

Mine was emailed, but followed up with hard copies a week or so later. I would want a 'real' one with an ink signature and on headed paper !
