If you are thinking about going down the IVA route, shop around, phone several companies before deciding, taken your time and be sure that you can live on the amount in the proposal. Some people have had bad experience with unrealistic proposals that take months to go through, only to fail. The companies that post on here are very good. I am not an expert just another person in debt.

Just one quick word of advice at this stage; one item that self-employed people sometimes forget to include when calculating their disposable income is their allowance for personal tax/ni. Make sure you bear this in mind when considering your options.
