can i stop i monthly payment and then continue payments again

i have an iva which has been going for 4 years i bought a car from a friend but did not get a reciept he has emigrated to australia and i cannot get in touch with him so i do not have a reciept and the £300 that i paid i need to get a payment break to help me get back on track what do i do my iva people say i need proof of purchse i am now getting into difficulties

help please

You should really have discussed this purchase with your IP prior to making making this purchase. However, this can not be changed now, so the best course of action moving forward would be to contact your IP and explain the situation. It may be possible to allow a payment break so that you can get yourself back on track.

One missed payment in not likely to affect the IVA, but as Oliver states make sure that this is explained to your IP so that creditors can be advised when he/she is next due to report to creditors.
