Can I take part in the green deal energy offer whilst in an IVA ?

Hi, I looked into this a few months back but took cold feet. Think there would be a problem when it came to the credit check which I think they do. In principle, as its not strictly a loan and only the energy savings that go towards the cost of the improvements there shouldn't be an issue.
The green deal hasn't taken off in the way the govt was hoping for so I would be interested to hear of any other forum members who have successfully signed up.

I think you can as the debt is repaid from future utility payments and stays with the property even if you move out. Would be interested to read Melanies' take on this
