Hello - I was just wondering if you could confirm whether I can use an IVA to help clear debts that I have which include council tax, rent, water, gas and electric?

Also, my debts don't exceed £15k...

Hi there

I am under the impression that aniva is only suitable for debts over £15K, but I am sure an expert will confirm this shortly.

Have you looked into Debt Management Plans as that may be suitable for you and is an informal agreement with your creditors.
Maybe have a chat with the cccs about this.

Good luck

Your debts are too low for you to enter an IVA.
I know that council, gas and electric will happily make provisions for you to pay them back at an affordable rate.
Maybe your first step should be to ring them each and discuss it and see what they offer.

Hi
Rent arrears are normally dealt with outside of an IVA if you are still living at the property. All the others can be included within an IVA but as others have said the total mount of your debts may not be enough to make an IVA viable
