I have been in an IVA for 48 months and have another 24 months to go. My question is I am no long able to make the payments due to my partner have mental health issues. He is employed but hardly working due to his illness. I currently pay £300 per month and struggling to make this payment as well as run a house and go to work myself. The house is in my partners name but he is behind on the mortgage payments. I am at a loss and not sure what to do.

Hi, so sorry to hear of your problems.

You need to sort this with your IP.

You could ask them to review your payments and see if they can be lowered if it’s going to be a long term issue

I agree, you need to talk to your IVA Supervisor - that's what they are there for.

Talk to your IVA supervisopr -- they may be able to at least reduce payments, or, maybe, propose a full and final settlement on payments made to date.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
