Don't worry - mine has been like that all day! How much disposable income do you feel you would have to offer creditors on a monthly basis?

Hi all, maybe not the right thing to do but i'm just off to make some 'fone calls to put my house on the market, don't need to make a massive profit on it so hopefully it may sell quickley. (bought really cheaply a few years ago and did it up).

Is there a lot of equity in your property, and will this enable you to pay off your debts in full Neil?

Hi all.
Melanie, there is a fair chunk of equity so it should help a lot.
Most importantly I have discussed my situation with my wife and there is now thanks to her a much brighter light at the end of the tunnel, she is even more amazing than I already thought...

Cheers.

Neil..

Most wives are amazing - as I am sure all of the male members of the forum will agree! What do you plan to do now to address your debts?

We will draw up a 'in's and out's plan, my salary will go purely against debt and she wil help with whats left of hers.
Cancels all the card payment protections last night to get the balances down quicker. Going to plan more later...

Neilb - good luck - sounds like our situation is diiferent to yours but i dont know what i would do if i couldnt share my money worries with my fiance

Mind you, not sure if she would agree when i keep her awake in the early hours talking about it all!

If you decide to sell the house good luck - ours has been on the market since Feb and we havent had a single viewing, and the market just seems to get worse each month. I partly blame the media - the papers and news are full of strories about how values are sliding and mortgage applications are down etc - if only they published some positive stories or spun it a little somehow, things wouldnt be so bad because people wouldnt panic so much. Seems like a vicious circle to me

If you sell it let me know so i can hire your agents!!
If you don't make mistakes, you're not working on hard enough problems. And that's a big mistake
