My husband is considering an IVA due to a possible £15,000 + tax debt - we have a joint bank account with very little savings and I have my own personal bank account with £9,000 - If an IVA goes ahead, can the creditors take my money/investigate me,my employment or financial history?

Hey bev.s, welcome to the forum. I'm not an expert but I'm sure you can't do an IVA with just one creditor. Please wait for an expert to reply though, all the best, Viki X

Hi there bev

Is this your husband's only debt? If so, an IVA is not going to be an option, as you have to have at least outstanding lines of credit.

Hi Bev

I just wanted to say welcome to the Forum ... I am sure there must be a solution to your situation so stay around and ask some more questions and, between us all, we can work it out [:)]
