Well in the process of IVA. Just waiting for the proposal to come through for us to read. Been quite stressful what with admitting to ourselves that we are in deep do do! Started to feel more positive about things as I waded through changing our bank account, setting up new direct debits and then my husband who has a serious heart condition gets taken to hospital by ambulance last night. I spent 4 hours in resuscitation with him where they managed to stabilise him. He is now in hospital for god knows how long and i am worried sick. had no sleep and then at 7 o'clock this morning just as I was dropping off the whole family started ringing. So I guess I just wanted to say that there is more important things in life than money, a thought I will take with me when I next feel myself getting burdened by the IVA process.

Sorry about your husband. I hope YOU are okay.

You're totally right about the money thing being lower on thelist of priorities than some things. Keep yourself well.

I am just about to head upto the hospital now. I did ring the ward earlier where they said that he has been in pain throughout the night and this morning but they were trying to combat this with drugs. But he is stable! We both come from quite big familys who live quite far away. I have very good friends who raced upto the hospital last night to be with me and our son. Don't want the family down unless things worsen as it is hard work with so many of them and when my husband had his last heart attack I was the one comforting them!

HI nomoredosh

what an awful night you must have had and i hope your hubby recovers quickly, you are so right nothing matters more than the health of you and your family, yes we all owe money we cant afford to pay back in full and its awful, but it is not as important right now as looking after yourself and your family.

all the best

Hi Nomoredosh,

So sorry to hear about your hubby + fingers crossed he's on the road to recovery. You're right there are more important things than money and sometimes it takes something awful to happen to remind us of that.

You've taken huge steps to face your debt problems and this will surely help when your hubby's home and on the mend.

Thinking of you x

Oh nomoredosh. How awful darling. I hope he is feeling better by the minute. I know how all this feels, I have spent quite a few hours in resus myself with hubby and his heart attack and consequent scares.
Phone calls can be so stressful, arrange with a couple of family members that you can ring and then they can ring everyone else to save you, stressful enough without having to repeat everything.
Dont worry about the money as you say family nd health is so much more important.
Always here if you need a chat, admin can give you my email if you would like.
Look after yourself as well eat properly and all that.
Thinking of you both

Thoughts and prayers from me also, and you and all the other posters here are correct in that this is much more important than your finances right now.

Certainly puts things into perspective.

Hi nomoredosh

What a stressful time for you, put you & your husband at the top of your priority list right now and the creditors/iva on the back burner.

My thoughts and very best wishes to you both
Emma xx
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes
