Oops - my typing was not good that night! I meant to say chance rather than change. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't understand why your IP won't put another variation forward as you have a very good reason for asking for one. Have you spoken to your IP or a member of their admin staff? If it's the latter you really need to contact your IP directly. If you don't have it you can find his/her email addresss on the Insolvency Service website - http://www.insolvency-service.co.uk/newipsearch.htm

They can present a variation whilst your wife is still off work if the circumstances are appropriate.

If you cannot manage to pay your IVA on your income, and your IP is not being helpful, if you have no assets, then bankruptcy could possibly be the best way forward for you right now.

The way you're being treated is disgusting. How can they expect you to make the same payments. As Jan says BR could be a way forward for you if you have no assets. It's not as bad as it first sounds and it would give you a fresh start.

Good luck, and let us know how you are getting on xxx

Hi Starboy. I do feel so sorry for you and your poor wife.Your IP seems to have no compassion at all.I am not sure if this is allowed in the IVA but have you got any friends or family that could support you financially untill you can get back to paying the full monthly IVA payments?

Take care and remember health is more important than money. This may seem like a huge mountain but your wife and YOU are more important.
