I really would wait for this in writing before you go off spending it on a lovely holiday - don't want you to get to the position they then demand the money back and it is too late.

I had a similar situation in my IVA term and it was counted as a windfall and I had to pay it across - so please do get it in writing.

Fantastic news but caution until you have that all important letter or email in hand me thinks. xx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

I would have applied the same principles as your IP has Kyla. Holidays are an important part of employment, and should be taken as a well earned rest from work - but if you choose not to, then you should be entitled to benefit from all of that money and not share it with creditors. After all you are making the sacrifice.

That's great news for kyla - enjoy that holiday. I would love some sun at the moment but it's getting harder for me to get insurance to go abroad so will be rainy GB for me again this year!!

I didn’t know that some employers paid unused holidays. My employer doesn’t so it’s a case of use them or lose them. This means I end up taking the time off and hanging around the house. I suppose I can offset the £6 a day fuel I don’t use by not going to work but then there’s the extra gas and electricity that you wouldn’t use whilst at work. Roll on June 2013 when I hope to find that I don't have enough holidays!
