hi all i think that the wait for the creditors meeting is taking its toll, i now think that i have flu again and i cant seem to eat properly as i eat so much then i feel sick. I have taken so much time off work recently from being run down and today i am off to the doctors again to see if he can sign me off for the next two days, as i am off next week anyway from work on one weeks holiday and i know that if i dont go to work the rest of this week then i can cope with waiting for tuesday. Can anybody else relate to this, as i am feeling sooo run down and worried what work will say when i take two more days off sick..

Morning Shazzles.I'm off sick at the moment.'again'-I had time off in Oct last year.I can't seem to cope very well with work and home at the moment. My Gp is very good with me and will always write the sicknote to indicate an underlying medical condition and not 'stress'.I'm 3 payments in to an iva now and I think the enormaty of what has occured has suddenly hit home.Don't just ask for 2 days.Ensure your holiday is taken as sick too and then claim it back later. At least this way you can take your leave when you need the break.Do you get paid for being on sick leave? hi cat thanks for replying. Yeah prob is with me is that my boss is a bit funny because of the sheer amount of time i have had off sick, and the company only pay a certain amount of sick pay per year and i think i may well have used it all up. I feel exactly like you in that i cant cope with work and wait for my iva meeting aswell!
I will do as you say and get holiday off sick too if i can. Im hoping the doctor will give me a sick note..

...just tell him how you feel.Be honest about the syptoms- sleeplessness, anxiety, palpatations, dry mouth, headaches, poor concentration, tears.I did not have the courage to mention my iva to him though.I have to go back in on Monday and I'm absolutley dreading it but have had 3 weeks off and done very little.Let us know how you go on.Cat

Keep your chin up Shazzles. I can remember waiting for my meeting, and going through all these things you have mentioned. The relief when your IVA is approved is huge! Not long to go now. Hang in there.

Hi Shazzles. Make sure you rest and just do exactly what you feel like. Do as the doc says. I have been like this since last september not gone much more than two weeks without some sort of virus and yet another cold at the weekend and now coldsores, great eh. Ther are so many viruses around and when you are low they can take a good hold. So just relax as much as you can. There is no more you can do than wait, you have already done your best. We are hear if you need a moan and will be rooting for you on tuesday. I just kept really busy on the day doing all the housework, cant remember any of it, and if successful you can put your feet up with a bottle of wine and relax for the evening.

Oh Shazzles, how awful you must be feeling, try not to be too anxious because that isn't going to help your ulcers? Anyway I'm always around at some point during the day so if you need to talk ask Andy for my contact details and contact me, I don't mind. I had my meeting as you know last Friday and the lead up to it wasn't too bad for me, how my husband put up with me I'm not sure but eh! We had a pub quiz today at work and I won some chocolates which I'm giving to him tonight! Things should get better for you soon. This forum is a godsend and people are great at supporting you. They always made my thoughts rational for me!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

morning Shazzles. My last day of sickness before I go back on Monday to the stress of work.Hopefully the rest has sorted my head out slightly and I'll be able to function as full time mum and job and the juggling that is involved will again be seen as challenging rather than draining( yes...I'm being sarcastic!)
Look after yourself ocer the next week or so.Your meeting is on tuesday isn't it? What time? Remember, there's nothing more you can do to change the outcome now so no point stressing.Keep relaxed and do lots of cleaning to take mind off things? My kitchen went into shock the day I was waiting for my IVA results-it's never been so pampered! It's hard to believe I can be cheerful again now, and for the most part positive when it was only last oct/nov that I was emotionally where you are. It's exhausting but I'm sure it'll be ok for you too.I;m no expert but it seems that IVA's aren't suggested unless there is a large liklihood of a positive outcome.Speak soon. I remember I spent the day of my Creditors Meeting in Blackpool!! As soon as I received notification of my meeting - and on the assumption that I would attend the meeting - I booked a return flight on Ryanair from Stansted to Blackpool Airport (special offer £20 return inc. taxes!!!) for the meeting date (my IVA Company is located up North). Of course I then learned that it was completely unnecessary for me to attend but I decided to use the ticket anyway as a day out would be better than sitting at home biting my nails. I wandered around Blackpool for the morning (my meeting was at 1230) and then sat on the seafront. I took my meeting results on my mobile in a very bracing sea breeze and was jumping up and down when I got a (close-run) "Yes" vote. I had so many Modifications I thought my mobile battery would expire as they were read out to me!!

I had a bag of chips and two pints of "Strongbow" to celebrate. (By the way - Blackpool pubs were really cheap - as someone used to London prices I was well impressed!!).
47 months completed - 13 months to go.
