Well my car is off the road again.. just as well hubby on sick, so I can use his. At first we thought it was the last valve thing to go (one just went couple of weeks ago), but hubbys friend came over and changed it, guess what not that!! We have to take it in to his garage on Saturday to put on the computer!! God knows how much this is going to cost!! We now have the grand total of £100 in our contingency, what with hubbys tax and the last catastrophe!! Plus more vets bills for Casey and her chewed legs!!

Cried my eyes out last night, then got wrong off hubby for not remembering what state we were in this time last year!! I know he's right but I keep thinking is there an end to this bad luck!!

Sorry for moaning[:(]
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Ang, bless you, firstly have a huge {{{hug}}}. I can imagine how you feel, but it will work out I promise you. It did for us last year, these things are really sent to try us in an IVA aren't they?

Don't be sorry for moaning ever, this forum is the first place I turn to in times of need and we're all here for each other. Take care Ang xx
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Ang

If you need to miss a payment to cover unforseen costs to cover the car repairs, I am sure that your IP will be sympathetic to this.
So sorry things are not going well for you, especially at this time of year - but it can only get better.

Oh Ang, I can honestly say, I know how you feel. Cars are so expensive but such a necessity. Can you believe we still can't sell hubby's car because different things still keep going wrong with it. It too had to have another diagnostic test which costs us £50 a time. I couldn't sell it on, knowing there's something wrong with it.

Your hubby is right, you've come a long way in a year, but I guess with the added pressure of Christmas, its easy and acceptable to get down about these challenges.

Now you're a strong lady and a very good friend. So, you have your cry, rant and whatever else it takes. Then, you'll get over this latest challenge and tick another month of your debt journey.

You will get through it, honest mate [:)]

xx

Ang, what a horrible time you are having. I hope you get your car sorted and that hubby gets better soon (although not too soon if you need his car![:D][:D]).

Sending you a big ))hug((.

Oh Ang you are down arent you hun?? I am so sorry that youre feeling like this but things will get better. In an IVA its hard when things keep going wrong and you have had more than your share. Dont let it beat you down, easier said than done I know. Life is full of trials it seems and you never flippin know whats next. However, you will get through it and will look back on all this and say we did it and you will.

Good luck with the car hun, I found calling mine all the names under the sun last week didnt actually help but I felt so much better for it.

Have a rant and a moan here all you like, we will listen.

)))))) hug((((((((

Ang, hope both hubby and car are back up and running soon. Life does like to throw a curveball sometimes doesn't it? look after yourself and don't let it get you down, one way or another it'll get sorted out.
sending a big hug your way.

Hi angela,
The best thing to do when life gets you down is have a good cry and a good moan to the people that care. If you want to vent off more steam send another post , there's plenty of shoulders here. Things WILL turn around for you, just try to keep strong.
Wishing you all the best...

Paul

Hi everyone.. car isn't as bad as seems fingers crossed. Garys friend brought over a portable diagnostic thing!! and it seems may only be a misfiring spark plug (hopefully) we are going to give that a go and see what happens.. hubby took out around the streets with his friend and was running fine so, will change them and pray thats it at least until get my banks looking a bit healthier ..

I've decided all of these things are just sent to make me a stronger person. We will get through this, and I know I could speak to my IP about this as she is a lovely person, but the last thing I want is to mess with my payments. That, the mortgage and council tax are my priority!! So that would be my very last resort.. and a big thanks for the hugs...YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK THEY WORKED[:D] xx
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Just caught up with the thread again!

So glad that the car isn't as bad as you thought. Hope hubby is recovering well now. You do sound a lot more positive today!
