I would imagine anyone in an IVA will have a higher APR orange - any credit check will show this.

I would expect to pay a little extra APR I think due to my IVA. Hope you manage to get sorted. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I'm thinking of taking a car loan but trying to wait until the IVA is deleted from my credit file. I'm fortunate that my car isn't old but its a real lemon as everything seems to go wrong with it plus I need something bigger. Just wondering what the APR is going to be like. I wish they gave this information before applying so I could make an informed choice.

As mentioned in a previous post, I was very happy with the treatment I got from CL4U. I must point out though, that my IVA was not on my credit report and all my other defaults had fallen off at the time of my application.

Your IVA will remain on file for six years from the date of acceptance. It is usually shown under a seperate section on the credit report. It will be on all three agencies.

It all depends if there is an error with the address, my husbands iva was logged on the insolvency register with the right address and appeared on his credit file (experian & equifax). Mine was on the register with an incorrect address and never appeared on my credit file.

There is, I believe, a seperate part which mentions court arrangements. I think ginger and TheMatrix have posted about it before. Not checked mine for a while.

I doubt they would have guessed.

I believe he had heard one of your conversations with a colleague so was able to realise who you were. I doubt it affected your apr rate - your credit rating would still have been shot anyway.

I also imagine that the fact that you are having to approach a company that sorts out finance for those of us with a less than perfect credit rating might have a bearing on things.

Other than that, I have no idea.

Just because your IVA isn't on one credit file doesn't mean it's not on the others as sometimes the information is different.

If you have any defaults on your file then this will also affect the APR.
