Hi I pay my car insurance monthly will I be unable to get new car insurance in the future when mine runs out if I need to change companies for a lower price. Or if I stay with my insurer and don't change will they cancel or increase my policy price when they find out about the IVA if I choose to sign up for one?

I paid monthly during my IVA and had no issues. The payments were recorded in my I&E and were accepted as a living expense.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

I had no issues paying monthly throughout my IVA, however I chose to stay with the same insurers, who did not hike my premium at all.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

I had no problems either.

If I remember correctly it is NFU that tends not to accept people who are in an IVA.
