Yup and car insurance companies should charge more for those who smoke behind the wheel. Controversial but the number of eejits(scottish term for dafties),I see struggling to turn or indicate off roundabouts coz they have a fag in their hands in unreal!!!

The photo licence thing should be changed for free. I didnt even know you had to get your picture redone. Is it every 10 years then or what??

Yep, it's every 10 years and apparently costs £18! Another way to screw money out of the cash cow that is the motorist as far as I'm concerned!

We shall keep our old ones until such time as they make it compulsory to have a picture one!

I wouldn't mind if I could actually use it as ID but when I wanted to change doctors when I moved it could only be used as proof of address, or proof of who I was, not both!

Its free to change your licence if you are changing your name and there are ways of changing your name for less than the £17-50 it would cost to change your licence photo,so all you have to do is change your name by deed poll, then apply for a name change on your licence and inform them that you also need a photo change too, hopefully they wont charge you and you can have a new name every ten years!!!

I am going to change my name to Winnie the Pooh!!

(ps you cannot change your name to make it harder for people to find you,and creditors must be informed of any name changes!!)
