I've been with Churchill for a few years now, even though they have been a bit dearer than other companies. I've had to claim a couple of times and it's been sorted out quickly and easily each time, unlike when I had to claim from Tesco Insurance!

Hi

I also just got my car insurance renewal notice. It's increased by £4 per month and I thought about seeing if i could get another one cheaper. I looked at compare.com but that put me off! It's not anonymous as when asking for details for a quote on-line it wants to know what you have for breakfast! and then they have your email, address and phone number details and then be bombarded with junk mail and calls. I am with Direct Line for the last 5 years and have found them good, so I think it's a case of the devil you know sometimes.

I agree Maz. I changed from Churchill to Tesco for one year and they were a complete nightmare. I have tried getting quotes from the comparison sites, but I got fed up with the phone calls - Kwik Fit being the worst offenders!

Maz, I always put down a totally duff email address, and the phone number I always put down as either 01000000000 or 01234567891. The address you can't get away with, but you can throw junk mail.

Only if I take out any insurance do I put my correct details down.

OK thanks Jan, i didn't know that could be done. I will try a few tomorrow and see what responses I get. Not in the mood now for these quotes; I'm brain dead from work today!
