Hi,

Not posted for a few months.
Would just like to thank those who recommended www.duncton.com for a car on lease term payments.

After my car had broken down, I managed to be put through to a person who represented Duncton finance from Melanie Giles.

he managed to help me with the transaction to a new little 206cc.

Saving lots of money on petrol now and the monthly payments are a lot less (£110 less).

So just thought i would post to say even in these hard times people in IVA's can still be allowed to get a nice car for a reasonable amount of money.

my IP allowed me to take on the outstanding finance from my old car (which was a write off) and allowed me to take a lease out on a car and take a 3 month payment break to help with the inital deposit (3 months payments)

So - would recommend www.duncton.com to anyone and everyone in an IVA.

Thanks melanie for the advice and direction.

That's a very useful link to have, especially as we have had one or two posters looking for car finance.

Thanks for that.

If you check on the website, it does say that they do finance for people in IVA's, which I think is great.

Hi we got our car from exactly the same source - excellent service!

We needed a lease that offered 20,000 miles per annum without being penalised. The norm is 10,000. It was such a relief to find a deal that suited our needs. We didn't accept the first cars offered but the gentleman Melanie put us in contact with ( not sure if I can name him), understood and kept trying until we found a car and deal that we were happy with.

Worth looking at if anyone needs to lease a car.

They are a great company, and I am glad they were able to help you both. And that reminds me I must e-mail David their details as well as promised yesterday.

Hi luluj,

I am paying 190 per month instead of the 295 i was paying previously. They knew about the IVA has Melanie's contact informed them at the time of application. But if you want to ring them directly just be sure to tell them you ae in an IVA.

Just another shout in support of Duncton. We have just taken delivery of a Peugeot 207, really nice, met our needs and costs, and will help us improve our credit record too hopefully!

Also, it only took 6 days from submitting the application to the delivery of the car, so they moved very quick indeed!!

I think that's a good idea as well. So many people ask about them and I always have to hunt about for a link, and Duncton is the only one I can ever remember.

hi - we're with Duncton and viewed the car online, well we viewed a few before deciding.

The only down side was having to pay the equivalent of 3months payment upfront.

Other than that the service was great - although as I've said we used a contact of Melanie to find the best deal.

All well and good if you can find the 3 month deposit during an IVA. Unless you can get help from family I don't see how this is possible. Would payment breaks be granted for this sort of thing?
Steve.
