car ownership scheme outside of the iva

I am working for a large company at the moment who are not very symaphetic about debt would they need to know about a IVA. also they have a car ownership scheme whichh means they make the payments on my behalf to the leasing company so would i be able to countinue this arrangmant outside of the iva

Hi David

Your employer should not need to know about your debt situation, unless there is something in your terms and conditions of employment which requires this to be disclosed.

If the leasing agreement is in your name, but the company make the payments on your behalf through a salary deduction, the leasing company should be advised as they may be a contingent creditor. There is no reason why the agreement should not continue though - but again check the details in the agreement.
