hi guys
thought i'd let you know that we had a phone call on friday from or who said we could keep the car as it wasn't worth them selling it so we are well pleased.
We have to send in life policies now then pay £50 to get them back, she was unsure how much we would have to pay to get the joint one back ( maybe half??)
Also she is phoning again a week on wednesday as she has some more questions. She said that rob has a lot of creditors, but he has 8 (3 are lloyds, 2 egg, hsbc, mbna, halifax) she also said he may have to be undischarged for more than a year not sure why. If this happens does anyone know how this affects rob and if he had any inheritance during that time would he lose it to the or.
thans again guys

There should be no reason why his discharge ought to be delayed, but he will be subject to after-acquired asset provisions until the discharge is confirmed. As the OR's examiner to explain what she means by this comment - and great news about the car by the way.

The level of debt has absolutely no correlation with the timing of discharge and even if they apply for a BRO this will not stop the discharge either.

That's great news Jayne, you must be so relieved that you can keep the car. Try not to worry about the other questions, you'll be ok.
As for the amount of creditors, I had 2 full pages of creditors in my br petition...not sure how many that is but it's got to be more than 10... our OR has said nothing about this delaying discharge.
xx
It's nice to be back......

Really pleased to see this update Jayne and Rob as I know you were really worried about losing the car[:D]
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes
