well five months into our iv and my hubby's car has finally made it's way to the scrapyard in the sky. Anyone who has read my blog will know of the troubles we've had with it!! It's eaten it's way through our contingency and other monies we should have been saving up but has now finally seized once and for all. I spent last night crying about this as we haven't enough money to even pay for a cheap run around at the moment. [|)]We both work in jobs where we need our own transport so I thought we were doomed.

Called cleardebt today and spoke to a chap called Dave who has been fantastic at calming my nerves and has given me a glimpse of a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I guess what I wanted to say is thanks to the forum posters for the support - I just knew today that if I was still stuggling, that someone here would offer words of wisdom. Thanks to my iva company (and others) who genuinely seek to support people trying to make their way out of debt and to anyone who has a problem, communicate straight away with your company!

It is great that your IP has found a solution for you, and that you are finding the forum such an emotional prop along the way. No more tears from now on!

Great to hear your IP compnay is being supportive and sensible! Without reliable cars you can't work, without work you can't maintain the IVA.

I understand exactly how stressed you must have been, the car problems we had were not only financially draining but emotianally too.

....but put it in the past and look to the future [:)] hope you get a nice reliable car sorted and can continue a less stressful road to being debt free [:)]

Hi Relieved 33
What did he actually say to you? I'm only asking as I've also had problems and my contingency's also been spent on the car and have been worried about what happens if my car dies on me as i need it for work which is 30 miles away.
Thanks

I'm glad you are getting sorted as well.
