Was given a sick note for a month, but already i'm begining to climb the walls!!! Thought i'd got it sussed buying an extra large marigold glove to get in the shower..but the dressings are so big i might have to have a re-think!

I love being home too Jan, and I'm sure when the massive bandages come off in the week I'll feel a lot better! Am trying to stop Little Tom wanting to eat my bandages - he is slightly put off by the smell of iodine on my hand, not sure how long that will last! Have recorded lots of stuff to watch while I can't drive, and my sons on 1/2 term from college doing the odd jobs...I shall just have to accept its time to chill out and relax!

I did the bin liner and cling film and tape when I fractured my ankle some years ago - it was cheaper than paying for the waterproof thing they sell you at the hospital - it was £15 then and that was way back in 1999!

I remember trying to do the bin liner and elastic band thing when I had part of my toenail removed a few years ago - it's not easy when it's your foot you're trying to keep dry!
