I saw this also, and, to blatantly crib a phrase from my fellow expert Ian, as ever the devil will be in the detail. There seems to be no firm commitment re debt collection, just an "agreement" and no mention really of a cut in the APR's which seems to be what the meeting was originally convened for.
Still, something is better than nothing I suppose.

True indeed, Size 5. However, many years ago I witnessed Mandy delivering the "hair-dryer" treatment to a bunch of labour activists. He sent them all home to change into suits saying he wasn't prepared to allow people to knock on doors dressed like tramps!! Whatever your views on Mandy, he is not someone to be trifled with. Oh to have been a fly on the wall of that meeting!!!
It's just a shame that someone who has had to step down several times before is back in the cabinet - hardly a role model. He's hardly in a position to tell people what to do is he?

'Mandy' is good intimidator....Blair Right enforcer - his famous by election victory speech -" IAM a FIGHTER NOT A QUITTER" in a force 1 gale manner just show his contempt for nitwits.
