When it comes to it DMP's are just a quick fix and are not really a long term solution to Debt Freedom in my eyes.
As far as i am concerned there are only 2 real Solutions Bankruptcy or IVA.
I do not agree that DMP's are the answer, they will freeze the interest if you get a good company to represent you but as soon as things get easier they will pull the rug from under you and start banging on the interest again once you get to a certain level.
With a Bankruptcy you could lose your home or your job if you are in a certain Profession so you have to be careful but at least it will clear your debt.
An IVA is not so restrictive but you have to get 75% of your creditors to agree to your proposal and it is not easy as it can be stressful in the build up what with stopping payments to creditors and liaising with an IP to draw up your proposal to creditors which could take up to 6 weeks or more.
Something has to give in the End and a DMP i do not believe is the Answer

Hi
DMPs are a solution, under the right circumstances, and can give both a permanent solution to ones debts or can be a useful holding mechanism for people that are unsure of the route that they want to take or who are unable to opt for bankruptcy or an IVA.

That's unlucky Fuzzy.

The interest was frozen on my DMP by all companies. They reviewed it every six months.

Well that's something I suppose. Not good that you are being charged interest though.

Who are you doing your DMP through?
